What makes this weekend special?

This is more than an event – it’s a space to belong.

Across two days, we create a welcoming environment where familiar faces, shared roots, and new friendships come together. You’ll connect with people who feel like peers, mentors, and mentees – in essence, an extended family that grows together long after the weekend ends.

Saturday: Community, heritage & connection

We begin with a relaxed Saturday afternoon gathering in a friendly community sports club setting (with weather-proof options), designed to feel like a village-style meet-up.

Expect easy conversations, shared stories, laughter, and reconnection with others who share the proud heritage of your South Gujarat origins – including people you may not yet realise are already part of your wider family network.

The venue is offered free of charge, and our organising team is happy to support gaam (village) groups of all sizes with catering ideas if you’d like to host or share food together.

As the evening unfolds, the time is yours – whether that’s catching up with friends in London or Luton, or joining others for a relaxed dinner or chat at a local Indian restaurant bar.

Time: 2pm – 7pm
Location: Harrow RFC, Wood Lane, Stanmore HA7 4LF
Ticket Price: FREE

After 7pm – Evening Social
Keep the conversations going at a nearby bar or eatery (location TBC).

Sunday: Conversations that matter – for every generation

On Sunday, we come together again for meaningful conversations that touch every generation, from parents of toddlers to great-grandparents.

Some discussions will be light, others more reflective – all focused on strengthening your understanding, resilience, confidence, and community spirit within our families and beyond.

This is a day to listen, learn, and grow – individually and collectively.

Topics discussed:

  • Networking, Career & CV Support
  • Dementia & Alzheimer’s Awareness
  • Keeping Your Brain and Body Strong as You Age
  • Life Topics We Shouldn’t Avoid
  • Family matters

Time: 10am – 4pm (Lunch included)
Location: Croxley Green Business Park, Hatters Lane, Watford WD18 8YH
